This course will be given by Dr. Audrey Remedios DVM, MVetSc, DACVS, Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Dr. Remedios is a former adjunct faculty and sessional lecturer position at the University of Calgary, and is now a surgery specialist in Calgary. She has authored numerous peer reviewed publications and textbook chapters related to small animal surgery. She has also written a number of book reviews and articles designed for public education.

Diseases of the Hip Joint Femoral Head in the Dog & Cat - Pre- Recorded

To learn the diseases, treatment, complications, and prognosis of coxofemoral joint disorders in dogs and cats that often require femoral head ostectomy.  Conditions that will be discussed include hip dysplasia, Legg Calve Perthes disease,  physeal dysplasia in cats, and coxofemoral luxations and fractures. The anatomy and approach and surgical instrumentation will be discussed. Pre and post operative procedures including proper sterile technique will be discussed.

This course will be recorded and registrants that are not able to attend the live event fully will receive a copy of the recording that will be active for 3 months.
